jam jars.
The Jelly Shelf, Mary Pratt
I'm pretty sure my entire personality was, some time many years ago, determined by this painting. I first saw it hanging in the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia and was completely lured in by its quality of lightness. I have always loved glass (possibly due to my upbringing in the window business) but am passionate about antique glass and old jam jars. Seeing this painting was like seeing my soul on canvas.
This summer, expect lots of things in jars. My mom recently visited and brought lots of giant mason jars in her suitcase, a treat for me because you can't find proper masons here in the UK. I plan to invest in some new Weck jars later this summer, and plan to put everything I can find in some kind of jarred format.
